One week from today, Saturday, April 18, 2009, will be the 103^rd Anniversary of the great 1906 San Francisco Earthquake (Mag. 7.8). Although Petaluma didn't experience widespread damage, communities all along the 300 miles of the San Andreas Fault felt the shaking and were severally damaged - like San Francisco and Santa Rosa.

The Internet is loaded with all sorts of sites that provide information, photographs, and documentation of this historic event. Readers may view a five second snapshot taken from one of the videos that portrays the shaking over a 155 mile by 20 mile area covering the San Francisco Bay Region.
